Is Free Will real? Are there more kinds of Free Will? Well, we can conceptualize all kinds of Free Will definitions but will they bring any value to our lives? By inventing and philosophizing this myriad of definitions do we really have some basic ground rules so we can weld our life values to these concepts? It appears we do not, and here is Dan Dennett trying to show us a way to circumvent this apparent problem; by embracing determinism, by accepting it as a necessary prerequisite to SOME KIND OF FREE WILL (that by Dan’s opinion is really worth wanting, as opposed to the other concepts), we pave the way to future design enhancements that help us raise the number of degrees of freedom we face the future with.
